We focus on players between ages 13–17.

Not yet. Goalies require a separate model due to very different development patterns. Goalie scores will be added in a future release.

New data is added multiple times per week during the season.

Performance Scores are created using a proprietary model that analyzes a player's production, league strength, age, and size trends. The model compares each player to thousands of similar players to estimate long-term potential.

Draft Probabilities estimate the likelihood of being selected in a CHL or NHL draft based on historical patterns of players with similar age, production, league pathway, and physical profile.

League strength adjusts a player's production to reflect how competitive their league is historically. This allows for fair comparisons between players competing in very different environments.

It measures how a player is performing compared to others the same age, which helps normalize scoring across age groups and development stages.

Score changes can happen when new stats are added, league strength is recalculated, comparable player cohorts shift, or the player ages into a new group.

Scores are age-relative. Older players typically have more data, more development, and more established trends, which can lead to higher scores.

Our model is built on thousands of historical player pathways, enabling us to identify trends that strongly correlate with long-term success. While Performance Score and Draft Probability provide meaningful insights, no predictive system can account for every variable — opportunity, injuries, coaching environment, late development, and personal growth all play major roles. Our predictions are designed to guide understanding, not to replace real-world development or scouting.

No. Deke Data does not guarantee draft results or future professional play. Our platform provides an objective, data-driven view of a player's current trajectory and potential, but it cannot predict individual outcomes with certainty.

We aggregate publicly available league statistics and game data from verified sources. We do not use or store private or personal information.

Yes. We only display publicly available hockey data and reviewed user-submitted updates. No personal or sensitive information is collected.

A player needs a minimum amount of data — including league, games played, and stats — before the model can generate a score. Once they meet that threshold, the score appears automatically.

Yes. If you notice incorrect stats, height, weight, or other profile details, email hello@dekedata.com with the correction. Our team reviews all updates to maintain accuracy.

Yes. Parents and coaches can submit updated photos by emailing hello@dekedata.com. All photos are reviewed before being added.

Yes. If your player isn't listed, their league may not be onboarded yet or they may not meet minimum data requirements. Email hello@dekedata.com and we'll review and add them as soon as possible.
